OUR HISTORY before SAMOYEDS
When we moved to England 20 years ago, I was always demanding my parents for a dog and that's when my mum discovered THE BEAUTIFUL Samoyed after going through the full list of all dog breeds in the world.
Their friendly temperaments and high activity levels just aligned with our family along with their charming looks which just stole our hearts forever! We all as a family are simply devoted to the breed and we couldn't imagine owning anything else.
Growing up in Latvia we always have had dogs of Alsatian and Spitz types. Everyone kept their dogs for the purpose of property guarding. It was very different how dogs where kept in those days, especially in such countries.
Seeing guard dogs having minimal contact or enrichment and being chained up and fed table scraps along with bland porridge, I knew how they felt and I was always filled with sadness, as I always wanted to change this.
OUR KNOWLEDGE
Since then I have always been interested, involved and fuelled to gain in depth understanding of animal health, welfare, genetics, correct anatomy and physiology paired with excellent nutrition which enables me to successfully compete with my dogs. I also have extensive knowledge coupled with several university degrees, along with Masters in Animal Health and Welfare as well as understanding of animal training and behaviour which I am always happy to share. This level of animal understanding enables me to bond with my dogs and excel in our sports.
WHAT WE BELIEVE IN
Our DREAMBIG ethics are to have friendly temperaments and for them to always be fully involved members of the family with us reciprocating high levels of care and mental and physical stimulation that this breed craves. Which we do through training and participating in agility, dog shows, fun shows and good canine citizen scheme obedience training.
However these dogs are worked less and less these days so we are not overly focused on enhancing working traits such as high prey drive but to promote a well tempered, healthy and balanced canine citizen, with high levels of handler focus and devotion, thus happily slotting these previously working canines into our busy schedules.
Here you will find more on the health tests that we try to perform on all our companions as we strongly believe that health tests are important to be able to produce healthy puppies. even if you do not plan to breed, we would still strongly advise to health test your pedigree dog purely for your own piece of mind. Dogs are extremely hardy animals and may not display any signs of discomfort, therefore before perusing highly stannous activities such as agility, flyball, bikejoring, trail running or hiking, it would be highly advantageous to perform a minimum of hip and elbow x-rays and also the information of your dog's health tests act as a feedback for the breeder. This is why we will be offering free hip xrays for some of our bred Samoyeds, so we can monitor the health of our bloodlines.

The current breed average hip scores are 13, therefore we aim to have scores lower than that in all our Sammies. Lower scores can be achieved by selecting Samoyeds from parents and lineages with low scores, as well as considering nutritional factors and correct activity management when raising a Samoyed.
Elbow dysplasia is not so prevalent in the breed, however it cannot be ruled out completely, therefore elbow scoring is something that is done as a preventative and monitoring measure.
The eye examinations that we try to perform on our Samoyeds include Gonioscopy-PLA Grading and general eye examination by a specialist, referred veterinarian.
All of our Samoyeds receive the minimum of XL-PRA and Samoyed hereditary Nephritis Genetic Test checks. We also sometimes do additional checks.
Samoyed as a breed must be friendly without displaying any aggression towards humankind or another animal. All our Sammies are extremely friendly and would happily welcome burglars with their paws open.
Who doesn't enjoy a calm and quite dog in the house but one that is happy and excited to go outside on adventures with you. Our Sammies are just like that.
Dogs that are handler focused tend to be easier to train based on our experience. Also all our Sammies are highly intelligent.
We focus on pretty facial features like no other.
We absolutely adore beautiful pure white coats of plush, weather resistant texture that is nor too long or too short .
Flowing movement that comes from balanced anatomy.
