Fiji is our very first Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, also known as a Toller or NSDT for short. Tollers are the smallest Retrievers in their category and are renowned for their intelligence, versatility, speed, drive, and loyalty.
Fiji came to us all the way from Spain as I was particularly after the original Canadian lines which have the deep dark coats, bone and build that allows them to work.

Fji is an active fun loving, typical Toller. She absolutely loves to swim, especially dock diving. She also enjoys playing a game of fetch. She loves her human company and thrives on having a job to do, either agility or scent work, as long as it is something that occupies her busy mind. She is friendly towards people and dogs.

She has a soft look and correctly shaped almond eyes, that are deeply set with correct colour matching her lips and nose. She has a soft look and correctly shaped almond eyes, that are deeply set with correct colour matching her lips and nose. She has some amazing markings on her face (blaze) and on her feet (socks) with a tiny smidge of white on the tip of her tail, as well as on her chest. Giving her the true Toller appearance. Her colour of deep red and coat texture is spot on. She has a straight coat that is wave free, with plenty of featherings on her pantaloons, tail and feet.
Fiji has an excellent front and rear angulation, giving her an impressive free flowing movements which has plenty of reach and drive. She strides out beautifully, effortlessly covering the ground.
